• BrickChain (Ordinals, Animated)

    January 2025.

Inspired by the way blocks connect and build upon each other. From the simplicity of building blocks to the flowing movement of the blockchain, each artwork in this collection creates structure in a unique way. The name BrickChain reflects this idea of connection. Like bricks stacking to create structures or chains linking to form networks, the artwork brings together different elements, shapes, and patterns. Made with vibrant, energetic colors, this evolving artwork transforms over time, forming links that bring together the figures in a unique way. 1/1/150 collection inscribed on Ordinals with Parent-child provenance.

  • Accretion (Sotheby's)

Accretion is a coded generative system consisting of organic shapes, representing not the specific symbols of our ancestors but their spirit of abstraction and symbolism. In this composition, the primary aspect involves replicating shapes so they appear as if hand-drawn, perhaps cut from a larger canvas, and then assembled to convey a distinct visual language. I incorporated texture into this artwork to evoke the impression that the figures were crafted on a natural substrate, enhancing the organic feel and visual depth of the piece

  • Matrix (Ordinals, Animated)

Matrix captures the essence of transformation, celebrating its potential for growth and change. Using a vibrant color palette and fluid, fast-paced motion, the project mirrors the fluctuations and dynamic nature of change. It’s a lively and energetic composition that represents the excitement and rapid movements of evolution. This project is created entirely with code, stored fully on-chain. Each output is randomly generated, corresponding to the blockhash value and the inscriptions

  • Limn (Bright Moments Gallery)

Limn resembles a rough sketch. It is composed of both regular and irregular shapes, combining precise and imperfect elements. The rough outlines and figures imply movement and energy as well as a sense of exploration, as if the piece is still in the process of being created.

  • Trace

Trace is inspired by the simple joy of discovery. Like a child playing with pieces of paper, cutting, and arranging them with endless curiosity and a sense of wonder, this piece grew from a place of exploration. So, I set out to recreate that feeling—allowing some shapes to be irregular and imperfect, others geometric, and put them together just like the paper pieces that kids arrange without a second thought.

Trace captures the feeling of letting imagination lead and reconnecting with that child-like creativity, allowing the unexpected to shape something beautiful.

  • Tessellate (N=12 group show, Feral File)

Tessellate is an embodiment of geometric precision and repetition, with each distinctive patch reflecting its unique color and texture, and together contributing to a larger design. This work showcases the harmony possible within diversity.

The organic blending of watercolors is recreated to contribute hazy dream-like palettes, building on layers to evoke the viewer’s memories. Like Boro quilts, a traditional Japanese art form dating to the 17th century, the work ties together various patches in rectangular forms with rough edges. The interplay between colors, shapes, and textures is a key aspect of this work, adding depth while enhancing the natural realism.

  • Aerial (Ordinals)

Aerial is a collection of 50 artworks that captures the captivating beauty and intricate complexity of urban landscapes as viewed from above. With this work, RalenArc explores the shapes and patterns of cities and their interaction with natural surroundings, inspired by her love of travel and exploration. Aerial photography and satellite maps served as a significant source of inspiration for Aerial. The color palettes were carefully selected to reflect the mood and atmosphere of each city, ranging from warm earthy tones to cool blues. There are different textures along with these colors to form a composite image that evokes the feeling of an aerial view.

  • Enigma (Art Blocks)

Isometric views have fascinated me because of their ability to create captivating illusions of three-dimensional space on a two-dimensional plane. I find isometric views appealing as they create a sense of order and balance in the composition. The use of clean lines and geometric shapes can create a sense of precision and harmony that is both aesthetically pleasing and conceptually interesting. I was able to incorporate these concepts into the structures formed in Enigma, which have a sense of balance, symmetry, and connection, creating a feeling of stability and order that can be particularly satisfying to look at.

  • Frolic (Alba)

A celebration of the process of learning, and the exhilaration of artistic expression as seen through the eyes of a child.

  • Encircle (OpenSea)

Encircle is a collection of algorithmically generated artworks. Each loop of a piece is made up of different styles. A four-color palette is used, where each layer of a particular loop matches the color of its neighbor until a condition is fulfilled. Every piece in this collection has vibrant colors and a distinct style

  • Refulgent (OpenSea)

Refulgent is a collection of algorithmically generated artworks. Complex compositions generated with diverse colors. Each figure has a bright shine and glow, which is similar to lights and lasers. These figures have texture that gives a modern and futuristic feel, and fits with the rest of the composition.

  • Swift (OpenSea)

Swift is a collection of algorithmically generated artworks. Each piece uses a six-color palette, where each figure that makes up the swirling motion as well as produces vertical lines is filled with randomized color generation

  • Shimmer (FxHash)

Shimmer consists of an algorithm that generates artworks based on circular figures and special effects. The figures are of diverse sizes and are drawn at locations with varying amounts of bands around them. Each figure has a translucent effect and glow, allowing for an enhanced look in the areas where they overlap. Each output has a distinct effect that is applied to the figures in a way that blends them together. There is a glow in the regions where the effect overlaps

  • Lucent (FxHash)

Complex compositions generated with diverse colors. These outputs include shapes varying in sizes that have a vitreous look which displays figures behind as well as those nearby, and lines with a fading effect at the ends.

  • Coral (FxHash)

Drawing from the serene beauty of Catalina Island, Coral celebrates the enchanting underwater scenes that have long captivated me from the water’s edge.

The artwork captures the essence of life thriving within the underwater gardens. This work is a tribute to the beauty of coral ecosystems, inviting contemplation and connection with the wonders of the deep. It’s a portrayal of a place where everything is in perpetual flux, captured as a single, harmonious snapshot.
